Chemanol achieved a strong financial performance in 2013, albeit not on par with the record results reported the previous year. Revenues totaled SAR 873.7 million, while net profit was SAR 72.1 million, reflecting the volatile market conditions that characterized most of 2013. Total production for the year of 836,000 metric tons was below the record 873,390 metric tons achieved in 2012. However, given the turnaround of the methanol and di-methyl for mamide (DMF) plants, and the fire that disrupted production at the Sulphonated Naphthalene (SNF) plant, this constitutes an excellent achievement by our Operations team. It also illustrates Chemanol’s relentless commitment to adopt a systematic approach to continuously improve operational productivity, efficiency, reliability and quality.
